GM’s Dropping Four Bands to Cut Cost!

GMC

In a cost cutting measure after filing for bankruptcy earlier this month, GM is cutting some of its brands including, Pontiac, Saturn, Hummer, and Saab. GM has also ditched Oldsmobile and Plymouth a couple of years back.

GM controlled 16 brands right through the 1990s and this included… Buick, Cadillac and Chevrolet in the US and key brands like Saab in Sweden, Subaru in Japan, Opel in Germany and Holden in Australia.

However, growing competition at the turn of the century saw GM’s more than 50 per cent marketshare in the US start to slowly whittle away, dropping to 17 per cent last year.

So out of the brands that where killed off in the last 20 years which would you think will be the most collectible?

Which should you store in your garage!
