Alright - I know the name "Super Sport" is pretty awesome to stamp on any Chevy and especially a Monte Carlo, but honestly there are no more real Super Sports, not after 1972 - that was it.. The 2006/2007 Monte Carlo will never be a true classic, not like the 69 and 70 MC was or any SS from that era. It's just not a classic period! It's Chevy trying to stir up artificial nostalgia with Chevy fans. Why don't they just come out with something new and bold and use another name and build on it. All they're doing now is attempting to squeeze as much as possible they can, by using the "Super Sport" name and it's tasteless. No wander Chevy and GM are going under, people see right through this. What they need to do is not "reinvent" but "invent" something new that attracts new and old buyers alike; Just let the super sport's name live in the past, and leave it alone, everytime Chevy tries this they fail. Look at the 2006 Impala SS - come on what was that.... A Ford Taurus on steriods, damn there a disgrace to the SS name. Come on Chevy get some new material already and maybe you won't have to have the govt. bail you out next time.
